Intel® SpeedStep™ technology lets you customize high performance computing
on your mobile PC. When the notebook computer is connected to the AC
outlet, the new mobile PC runs the most complex business and Internet
applications with speed virtually identical to a desktop system. When
powered by a battery, the processor drops to a lower frequency (by
changing the bus ratios) and voltage, conserving battery life while
maintaining a high level of performance. Manual override lets you boost
the frequency back to the high frequency when on battery, allowing you to
customize performance.

incorrect performance state upon resume from suspend/hibernate after
processing the system resume suspend message.
The v2.3 release also fixes the issue where both Automatic and Max
Battery modes (DBS) would be disabled upon resume from suspend/hibernate
under Windows 98SE and Windows ME operating systems and on Windows 2000
operating system when Timer/TSC mechanism is used to calculate CPU
utilization. This method is used by the applet only if the OS API's used
to compute utilization fail or if the registry entry "W2KTimer" is set to
0 (zero).

external interface is called, both Automatic and Max Battery modes (DBS)
would get disabled under Windows 98SE and Windows ME operating systems

1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP
users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In:
window appears.
3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
icon appears on your desktop.
Install
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R41328.EXE.
2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or
unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\r41328. Write down this path so the executable (I.e.
Setup.exe) file can be found later.
3.The Self-Extractor window appears.
4.Click OK.
5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor
window is still open, close it.
6.Click the Start button and then click Run.
7.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\r41328 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
