Dell Networking N3000 Series, Firmware Version 6.3.0.15,A17N-Series firmware version 6.3.0.15 and 6.3.0.16 changed the behavior of ACL wildcard masks from the earlier versions. If the customer is currently deploying or plan to deploy ACLs, we recommend to upgrade N-Series switches to firmware version 6.3.0.18 or later.

Dell Networking N3000 Ethernet Switch can run as Access Router or Aggregation Router based on the Firmware downloaded and run. The Firmware N3000_BGPv6.3.x.x.stk provides BGP functionality and N3000_N2000v6.3.x.x.stk features Web interface, OpenFlow, iSCSI, GARP, GVRP, GMRP, Auto-VoIP, DVLAN, MVR, and MLAG. Only the listed features are mutually exclusive while other features exist in both the variants of the builds. Please note the feature requirement and select the Firmware to download and run on N3000 Ethernet switch. Please note that since the features present in one variant of the firmware does not exist in other variant, the configuration specific to those exclusive features will fail configuration migration when switching between the firmware variants on N3000 Ethernet switch.
Both Dell Networking N3000 and N2000 Series switches share the same firmware image file (N3000_N2000v6.3.0.15.stk). If your N3000 series switch has an earlier version of firmware (6.0.0.7 or 6.0.0.8 or 6.0.1.3), upgrade your switch to the latest version of firmware version 6.3.0.15 as it contains multiple bug fixes and enhancements.
After upgrading the switch firmware version to 6.3.0.15, the boot code update is required on N3000 series switches via serial console if switch is running with the older boot code version. The latest boot code version available for N3000 series switches is “U-Boot SPL 2012.10-00078-g24e99ea (Jun 24 2014 - 16:41:18)"
