Default Instructions for R50239.EXE:
PowerVault 132T Device Drivers
NOTE: The following assumes a PowerVault 132T Tape Library and its tape
drives are present and the devices are attached to a host system and
powered on. Windows NT does not support medium changer drivers or SNC
drivers so drivers are not provided for these devices with Windows NT.
This release contains the following drivers for the PowerVault 132T Tape
Library
1. Download and run the file R50239.EXE from a Windows based system
2. Run the executable file by double-clicking the file.
3. Select Continue to extract the files.
4. The files will extract the folder c:\dell\drivers\R50239\.
5. If the above folder does not exist, select OK to create it.
6. Locate the file readme.htm in the above-mentioned folder. This file
contains the installation instructions and the files listed below:
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\Library - Contains the 132T Driver for Windows 2000
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\LTO Drive - Contains the LTO Driver for Windows NT
4.0 and Windows 2000
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\SNC - Contains the SNC INF for Windows 2000

Installing the Medium Changer Device Driver
1. Go to the desktop. Right click on My Computer and select Manage. The
Computer Management folder appears. Select Device Manager.
2. Find the Unknown Medium Changer in the Device Manager.
3. Right click on the Unknown Medium Changer and select Properties from
the menu.
4. In the new window, select the Driver tab.
5. Click the Update Driver button, this will start an installation wizard.
6. Click Next to continue.
7. Select the option "Display a list of known drivers..." and click Next.
8. Click Have Disk.
9. Enter the location of the extracted drivers (The default is
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\Library\).
10. Follow the rest of the instructions in the wizard to finish the
installation.

Installing the LTO Tape Drive Driver for Windows 2000
1. Go to the desktop. Right click on My Computer and select Manage. The
Computer Management folder appears. Select Device Manager.
2. Find the IBM ULTRIUM - TD1 tape drive in the Device Manager.
3. Right click on the IBM ULTRIUM - TD1 tape drive and select Properties
from the menu.
4. In the new window, select the Driver tab.
5. Click the Update Driver button. This will start an installation
wizard.
6. Click Next to continue.
7. Select the option "Display a list of known drivers..." and click Next.
8. Click Have Disk.
9. Enter the location of the extracted drivers (The default is
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\LTO Drive\W2K).
10. Follow the rest of the instructions in the wizard to finish the
installation.

Installing the LTO Tape Drive Driver for Windows NT 4.0
1. Make sure that you are logged on to the host system with Administrator
privileges.
2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Tape Devices icon.
4. Click the Drivers tab.
5. Click the Add button.
6. Click the Have Disk button.
7. Type in the location of the driver (The default is
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\LTO Drive\NT4).
8. Click the IBM ULTRIUM - TD1 entry and click the Ok button.
9. When the New SCSI Tape Device Found dialog box appears, click its Ok
button.
10. Type the location of the driver ibmtape.sys (The default is
c:\dell\drivers\R50239\LTO Drive\NT4).
11. Click the Ok button in the Tape Devices dialog box.
12. Restart the host system.

NOTE: This is not an actual dr
PowerVault 132T Device Drivers
NOTE: The following assumes a PowerVault 132T Tape Library and its tape
drives are present and the devices are attached to a host system and
powered on. Windows NT does not support medium changer drivers or SNC
drivers so drivers are not provided for these devices with Windows NT.
