Note 1: Ensure that you back up the data in the system and close all open applications. It is also recommended to connect the power cable when it is not a desktop and disconnect all external storage devices.
Note 2: Your system requires a restart after installing the firmware.
Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility
Download
1. Click Download File.
2. When download is complete, run the downloaded file to extract to your drive.
3. The file explorer opens pointing to the directory containing the download package. Take note of the path.
Upgrade Procedure
1. Close all open applications, and save your work before the firmware update process.
2. Go to the location where you have downloaded the package.
3. Run RosewoodX FIPS 0001 FW Utility - Windows Ver as administrator.
4. Select your language, and then select OK.
5. Select Next on the welcome screen.
6. Read the License Agreement screen. If you agree, click I accept the terms of the License Agreement and then click Next.
7. The next screen has a few important recommendations under the heading BEFORE YOU BEGIN. Read and check the Begin firmware update procedure and then click Proceed.
8. Click Next > to continue after the firmware download message is displayed.
9. Click Finish to complete the firmware activation.
10. To confirm that the firmware update was successful, open Device manager > open Disk Drives > Select T500LM035-2GJ17A > click Properties > choose hardware ID under Details and check the firmware version.
New firmware is applied when you turn on the system. To confirm whether the firmware update was successful, repeat the upgrade procedure steps from 1 to 9.
Note 2: Your system requires a restart after installing the firmware.
