HLDS BH40N Half Height BD-RW Optical Drive Firmware Update

Ensure that you back up the data in the system before performing this update. Do not interrupt your system during the firmware upgrade process. If the firmware upgrade process is interrupted, the optical drive may not function properly.

Note:
Before updating this firmware, ensure that you back up the data in the system and close all open applications. It is also recommended to connect the power cable when it is not a desktop and disconnect all external storage devices.

Dell Update Package Instructions

Download
1. Click Download File.
2. When the File Download window is displayed, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.

Upgrade Procedure
1. Close all open applications and save your work before the firmware update process.
2. Go to the location where you have downloaded the package.
3. Run BD-RE_BH40N_A1B2.exe as administrator.
A command prompt interface is displayed. Wait for the update to take place.
4. After the command prompt window closes, reboot your system to complete the installation.
