Symptoms
One or more nodes is offline.
The Avamar node or nodes do not boot.
Note: Depending on the number of the nodes and configuration this may leave the Avamar server in a non-working condition.
Cause
The Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) on the node is unresponsive.
Resolution
1. Power down the node.
2. Disconnect both power cables for 60 s.
3. Reconnect both power cables and attempt to boot the node.
4. If the node does NOT boot up after disconnecting power, perform a node replacement per Avamar: Node Replacement Procedure and Approval Process
Additional Information
Per Engineering Escalation 8364, the node should be replaced.
