Dell OpenManage Power Center Deprecation Message

This release of OpenManage Power Center (OMPC) 4.1 is the final release for OpenManage Power Center. It is recommended to use the replacement product Dell OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager.

OpenManage Power Center (OMPC) 4.1 is the final release for OpenManage Power Center. No additional features or supported devices are added to OMPC. It is recommended to use the replacement product, Dell OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager. Dell OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager is an extension or a plugin to the Dell OpenManage Enterprise console and uses fine-grained instrumentation to provide visibility of power consumption, anomalies, and utilization. Also, Power Manager alerts and reports about power and thermal events in servers, chassis, and custom groups consisting of servers and chassis.

 

Support of OpenManage Power Center

OpenManage Power Center has reached the end of software development date. No additional features or supported devices are added to OMPC. OpenManage Power Center security updates and bug fixes are addressed on a as needed basis.

 

Supported and unsupported devices and software

OpenManage Power Center does not support all Dell 14th Generation PowerEdge servers and no support for upcoming generations of PowerEdge servers. Review the list of OMPC supported and unsupported devices to ensure support for your device. Also no new operating systems for both the OMPC server system and discovered devices are supported by OMPC beyond OMPC 4.1. Licensing of OpenManage Power Center

OpenManage Power Center has reached the end of sale date for new licenses. OpenManage Power Center had two separate licenses.

  • License for Power Capping, Budgeting, and Reporting of Dell PowerEdge servers
  • License for Power Monitoring and Reporting of non-Dell servers.

Existing licenses for OpenManage Power Center can be downloaded from Dell Digital Locker. License keys are stored online and can be downloaded if needed. If an existing license key is not available in the Dell Digital Locker or there is an issue with a license key, contact Dell technical support or customer care.

OpenManage Power Center is no longer available for download. Contact Dell technical support to download or replace one or more OpenManage Power Center application files.
