Symptoms

When Dell PowerStore encounters a problem, an error alert is generated to help identify the issue. This article explains the different possible causes and the relevant solutions for these error alerts. Cause

The cause is self-explanatory in the Alert Texts mentioned in the Resolution section.

Resolution

Alert ID SECURITY_LOCAL_USER_MFA_BYPASS_TRUE
Alert Text Local user %(local_user) has been set to bypass Multi Factor Authentication.
Error Code (0x02C00301)
Impact A local user is not authenticated with a Multi Factor Authentication service.
Resolution  Solution:
If needed, re-enable Multi Factor Authentication service for this local user.

 


 

Alert ID SECURITY_SECURID_CONNECTION_POLL_FAILURE
Alert Text Failed to connect to RSA Authentication Manager for SecurID service.
Error Code (0x02C00401)
Impact Users without privilege to bypass SecurID are not able to log in.
Resolution  Solution:
  1. Use a privileged account (without SecurID) to access the cluster and correct any SecurID or network configurations.
  2. Re-apply a SecurID configuration to restart the service.
