Announcement
The Dell BSAFE Product Team announces the general availability of Dell BSAFE Micro Edition Suite 5.0.1. This release embeds the Dell BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition 4.1.5 FIPS 140-2 cryptographic module.This release addresses a medium security vulnerability. Details about this vulnerability are available in Dell Security Advisory DSA-2023-120: Dell BSAFE™ Micro Edition Suite Security Update
This release is designed to include the following new features:
- Added support for a user-defined certificate verification callback with the secure connection PKIX authentication plugin.
- Allow Pre-Shared Key (PSK) secure connections to issue tickets.
- TLSv1.2 cipher suites based on the SHA-1 digest are removed from the default cipher suite list for Secure Connections.
- Updated environment and system support.
- Bugfixes.
