Symptoms

It is observed that daily "Schedule Deleting Expired Copies" job starts to fail after upgrade to PowerProtect Data Manager 19.13 and 19.14. PowerProtect Data Manager Backup is working fine. 

PowerProtect Data Manager compliance-verification.log has the below error:

Cause

PowerProtect Data Manager 19.13 and 19.14 uses compliance container for copy deletion. PowerProtect Data Manager Copy Deletion fails if Data Domain has restricted ddboost client list and it does not allow the PowerProtect Data Manager compliance container ID as the ddboost client.

Resolution

Run the below Data Domain command as a workaround: 
ddboost clients add *
 
NOTE: In PowerProtect Data Manager 19.15, the Compliance docker uses cc.<PPDM_hostname> instead of container ID to connect to Data Domain.
