Symptoms

Issuing a STOP SNAP to a dataset command for differential dataset source and target pairs may indicate it has completed while leaving extent sessions established. The error message below may be seen:

Cause

This is due to a software error.

Resolution

Permanent Fix:

  • For Mainframe Enablers 10.2.0, PTF SNA2002 is available to address the issue. It is available to download from Dell Technologies Online Support.
  • For Mainframe Enablers 10.1.0, PTF SNA1028 is available to address the issue. It is available to download from Dell Technologies Online Support.
Work around: 
  • Rerun the failing job step
