Symptoms
During DM5500 user creation, a failure occurs with the error "Invalid email format."
In this occurrence, the email address is similar to admin@abcd.z1intra which was provided during user creation.
Cause
The root cause of the issue during DM5500 user creation is the invalid email format error.
- The email address provided is similar to
admin@abcd.z1intrawhich is not a valid email format. - The system's email address validation is restricted to the following domains:
aero
arpa
biz
com
coop
edu
gov
info
int
mil
museum
name
net
org
pro
travel
mobi
- The email address provided by the user does not belong to any of the above-mentioned domains, resulting in the invalid email format error.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in DM5500 version 5.19 or PowerProtect Data Manager version 19.19.
Upgrade the system to 5.19 or later to resolve this issue.
