MFE SRDF-HC: SCF154CE MSC GROUP XXXXXXX SDDF RESET processing failed

Symptoms

SCF154CE MSC - GROUP=XXXXXXX (000YY,00ZZ) SDDF RESET processing failed in Symm 0001976-0AAAA

Cause

The solution running is SRDF/STAR-A. There is an MSC group running on each leg with a unique name. SDDF sessions are needed in Disaster Recovery (DR) situations. A link or microcode failure caused the SDDF link errors to post, which eventually cause this permanent error. SCF154CE message occurs and MSC will DEACT for that MSC Group - XXXXXXXX. 

Resolution

Permanent Fix:

  • For Mainframe Enablers 10.0.0, Program Temporary Fix (PTF) SRA0034 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support.
  • For Mainframe Enablers 10.1.0, PTF SRA1021 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support
  • For Mainframe Enablers 10.2.0, PTF SRA2008 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support.
