Resolution
1. Access the CLI
Log in to the Data Domain system using SSH as the sysadmin user.
2. Check for Active Persistent Indictments.
Run:
system indict list
Any active indictments are displayed with an ID.
3. Remove the Persistent Indictment.
Remove the indictment using its ID:
system indict remove <id>
4. Verify the Alert Clears.
-
- Wait 2 minutes
- Run:
alerts show current - Confirm that the Power Supply alert has cleared.
5. If the Alert Persists
- Recheck for new indictments and remove them as needed:
system indict list system indict remove <id> - If no indictments remain and the PSU still shows as failed:
- and physical inspection and troubleshooting have been completed
- Proceed with PSU replacement.
