Symptome

Il processo di Garbage Collection di Avamar ha esito negativo con; 
ERROR: <4202> failed garbage collection with error MSG_ERR_BADTIMESYNC

 

Ursache

Il tempo non è sincronizzato tra uno o più nodi dati Avamar e utility node.
Ciò causa l'esito negativo delle attività di manutenzione di Avamar.

Lösung

Soluzione:
1. Accedere ad Avamar su una sessione PuTTY. Caricare le chiavi amministratore.

2. Verificare che il tempo sia sincronizzato tra tutti i nodi Avamar. Per un esempio di output, vedere l'APPENDICE A .
  
mapall --all --parallel 'date'


Se il tempo non è sincronizzato

3. Seguire Avamar: Come modificare NTP su un Avamar Server Utilizzando asktime per sincronizzare il tempo su tutti i nodi.

4. Verificare che la garbage collection sia stata completata correttamente.
