Symptoms
When deploying a CloudLink cluster with PowerFlex Manager, the second CloudLink may fail to deploy and the cluster will not be created.
Cause
There are two scenarios that can cause this to occur.
1. If you deploy CloudLink release 7.02.
2. If you deploy CloudLink on a different subnet than PowerFlex Manager.
The first CloudLink will successfully be deployed, but the second CloudLink will hang.
The second CloudLink is failing to connect to the first CloudLink to create the two-node cluster. This occurs in PowerFlex Manager release 3.6.1 and earlier.

Resolution
The workaround for the first scenario (CloudLink release 7.02) is to only deploy one CloudLink in PowerFlex Manager. Then after the deployment is completed, another CloudLink can be deployed manually and used to create a two-node cluster.
The workaround for the second scenario (CloudLink on a different subnet than PowerFlex Manager) is to use the first workaround or to ensure that CloudLink and PowerFlex Manager are deployed on the same ESXi management network which is the recommended deployment.
