Symptoms

应联合不同站点的两个 ECS。
尝试将 DR VDC 添加到主 ECS 时，UI 上会显示以下错误消息：

  
Virtual Data Center creation failure. Be sure that you have correctly entered the IP address(s) of online devices and that Data Services has completed initialization. Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.

Cause

辅助 ECS 上的 VDC 是通过主 VDC 以及添加到联合时创建的。如果存在已创建的 VDC，则该过程将失败。

Resolution

已在辅助站点上创建的 VDC。尝试在主站点上添加的内容将不起作用，并导致上述错误消息。
根据最新 ECS 管理员指南中的步骤，辅助 ECS 站点只需创建一个存储池并上传有效的许可证。


不得在辅助 ECS 上创建 VDC。它通过主站点 ECS 创建。

 

Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one
storage pool in the Ready state.

If you encounter this issue, open a Service Request with Dell EMC customer support and note this KB.
