Symptoms
FAIL: Cannot create multi DG: DE600xxxxxx-01-01
Caused by: com.emc.mystic.manager.commons.emc.exception.ConfigurationException: Cannot get Hardware Model: DE600xxxxxxx-01-01
Caused by: com.vce.commons.core.exception.ConnectionException: Fail to connect to host: fe80::250:56ff:fe69:f81c%eth1 with user: root
There appears to be no IPv6 communication between node and VxRail Manager. IPv6 vmkping on vmk0 to VxRail Manager fails.
Cause
VxRail Manager VM NIC was connected to the wrong portgroup (for example management instead of VxRail management).
Resolution
On the VxRail Manager (VRM) VM, change the portgroup from the incorrect "management" to VxRail management, multi DG.
Check that you can ping via IPv6 and retry node add to complete the process.
