[PPDM] How to check the Protection Mechanism for a Virtual Machine Backup

Instructions

PPDM by default will use TSDM to backup VMs on ESX host 7.0u3 and above. If you need to find out what protection mechanism a VM is using i.e either VADP or TSDM, you can enable the 'Protection Mechanism Field' under the 'Assets' view as below:
