Dell Unity: Deattaching a LUN from a host using UEMCLI (Correctable)

Instructions

Different ways to deattach a LUN from host/hosts using UEMCLI:
 

  1. Run uemcli -u admin -p admin_pass /stor/prov/luns/lun -id LUN_ID set -lunHosts 'HOST_ID, HOST_ID'
    This defines the LUN access to certain hosts and automatically deattaches it from all other unmentioned hosts.

Or:
 

  1. Run uemcli -u admin -p admin_pass /stor/prov/luns/lun -id LUN_ID set -lunHosts ""
    This deattaches the LUN from all assigned hosts.
     

Get LUN ID command: uemcli /stor/prov/luns/lun show
Get Host ID command: uemcli /remote/host show
