Symptoms
The backend report is being configured through the Avamar Administrator interface.
The domains and clients to be included in the report must be selected.
-
The expected domains are shown, but the
/REPLICATEdomain is not visible. -
Specifying
/REPLICATEwhen calling the backend report from the Avamar command-line results in no meaningful data is produced.
Example output is shown below:
nohup backendreport --include=/REPLICATE/source-avamar/domain/testclient.company.com --avtar=--clearcache --avtar=--hashcachemax=-10 --small-client-mb=0 --verbose > backendreport-repl.out &

============================== Finished backendreport Cause
The backend report uses a standard
root-to-replicate replication process to calculate its results.
-
Standard replication is intended to take a regular domain as its
srcpathand not the/REPLICATEdomain. -
The backend capacity report does not accept a path containing the
/REPLICATEdomain.
Resolution
The Avamar Administrator UI does not allow the /REPLICATE domain to be selected for reporting purposes.
The backend report must be run on the source Avamar Administrator UI against clients under the / (root) domain.
Workaround:
It is possible to run the backend report against the /REPLICATE domain by running it from the command line. For more information, see Avamar: How to run a backend capacity report on the /REPLICATE domain
