Symptoms
Die PowerPath VA-App meldet einen logrotate-Fehler im Protokoll /var/log/warn (in der Management-Appliance-VM). Möglicherweise werden Fehlermeldungen angezeigt wie:
Feb 20 13:45:03 cgvx000000526 logrotate: error: skipping "/var/log/tomcat7/catalina.out", because parent directory has insecure permissions (It's world writable or writable by group which not ist "root") Setzen Sie die Direktive "su" in der Konfigurationsdatei, um logrotate mitzuteilen, welcher Benutzer/welche Gruppe für die Rotation verwendet werden soll.
Und die weltweiten Berechtigungen für das Verzeichnis /var/log/tomcat7 sind 664 - die Datei logrotate.config gibt 644 an.
Cause
Tomcat hätte die Protokollrotation selbst handhaben und nicht an das logrotate-Tool auslagern sollen.
Resolution
Dies wird in PPMA 2.2 behoben.
