Vermoedelijk probleem CSCvi51088 (volgens KB #000060490). Er is geprobeerd OM IP domain-lookup uit te schakelen en 8.4 (2e) opnieuw te installeren, is ISSU opnieuw mislukt.

Bootflash geeft verbruik weer, maar er zijn geen inhoudsbestanden zichtbaar als bootflash is ontkoppeld.

De opdracht 'show version' geeft de opstartvariabelen weer. Probeerde de opstartvariabelen in te stellen vanuit de uitvoer 'show version', maar ontving de onderstaande fout:

De opdracht 'copy running-config startup-config' werkt prima. Opdracht 'copy r s' is gerelateerd aan het uitvoeren van config op RAM, maar niet op images op de switch, omdat het RAM is voor doorlopende switchfunctionaliteit. We kunnen de running-config ook opslaan op een externe server.

Cause

De bovenstaande fout van opstartvariabelen lijkt te zijn te wijten aan images die ontbreken in bootflash. De foutcode die 0x80A30002 vermeldt (geen dergelijk bestand of map) om dezelfde reden. Dit geeft aan dat opstartvariabelen ontbreken.

De logica hier is dat de switch in de loader-prompt in NVRAM kijkt om opstartvariabelen te verkrijgen (die niet zijn gevonden). Vermoedelijk flash-probleem omdat de storage nietvolatile is.

Zodra het opstartvariabelen van NVRAM krijgt, kijkt de switch naar bootflash om images te krijgen, die opnieuw niet werden gevonden, dus ook een vermoedelijk opstartflash-probleem.

De configuratie is extern gekopieerd (naar een bestandsserver) omdat het doorlopende bestandsoverdrachtsproces geen gevolgen heeft. Zelfs als u de images van een externe server kopieert en deze opslaat in bootflash om opstartvariabelen in te stellen, kan er niet op de hardware worden vertrouwen. Dit is een hardwareprobleem.

Resolution

  1. Het opnieuw opstarten van de switch (departmentele switches) helpt bij het koppelen van de opstartflash. Wanneer het systeem omhoog komt, worden alle vooraf gedefinieerde partities op de switch of systeemswitchover gekoppeld als er director class switches zijn.
  2. Vervang de switch en herstel de configuratie van de opgeslagen back-up.
