Symptoms

Os backups de VM falham depois de executados por algum tempo. A interface do usuário mostra o código de erro ABV0016 e a mensagem:

VM direct engine local host is unable to backup the virtual machine because the API issue

Código de erro de falha do backup da VM: ABV0016

O vmdm.log tem as seguintes mensagens de erro:

Na IU do vSphere, a seguinte falha é vista:

Task Name Status: Perform LWD-based snapshot sync
Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. A disk was closed during the operation. This can happen due to VM lifeCycle events such as VM power off, vMotion and HA failover. The operation should be retried.

Falha na sincronização de snapshots baseada em LWD

O produto VMware CloudDR está executando ações de snapshot na VM no momento do backup da VM pelo PowerProtect Data Manager. Na captura de tela acima, vemos a tarefa "Reconfigure virtual machine" sendo realizada pelo CloudDR quando o backup do PowerProtect Data Manager está em execução. Isso causa falha no backup do PowerProtect Data Manager.

Cause

Sobreposição de backup do PowerProtect Data Manager e atividades do CloudDR da VMware

 

Resolution

Altere o agendamento do CloudDR da VMware para evitar a sobreposição entre as atividades do CloudDR e o backup do PowerProtect Data Manager.
