Customer tried to configure DHSM via uemcli specifying the secondaryPort and localPort, but receives the following error:

C:\Program Files (x86)\EMC\Unisphere CLI>uemcli -d xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx /net/nas/dhsmconn create -fs fs_9 -secondaryUrl http://ci-cta1-acd.abc.com/fmroot -secondaryPort 9000 -localPort 80   <<<<<
Storage system address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Storage system port: 443
HTTPS connection

Operation failed. Error code: 0x5
One or more specified parameters are invalid. (Error Code:0x5)

Cause

-Ports below 1024 are generally reserved and are server listening ports.
-Ports above 1024 are client ports so these ports should be used when configuring the local port.

Resolution

Use a local port 1024 or higher or do not specify a local port. By not specifying a local port, the system will use a random port number just like any other client connection.

C:\Program Files (x86)\EMC\Unisphere CLI>uemcli -d xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx /net/nas/dhsmconn -id DHSMConnection_2 show -detail
Storage system address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Storage system port: 443
HTTPS connection
