Symptoms

Dette problem kan medføre unormalt forbrug af operativsystemets filsystemplads på et Avamar Utility Node- eller et enkelt nodesystem.

/data01-partitionen fyldes op på grund af mange store, gamle filer tilbage under mapperne /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp og /usr/local/avamar/var/client.  

For eksempel:
Outputtet nedenfor viser, at mappen /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp indeholder >2700 .tgz-filer , hver typisk i størrelse 66 MB og har en størrelse fra marts 2015 til maj 2012.

Disse logfiler er ikke underlagt nogen opbevarings- eller rotationspolitikker. På grund af deres store størrelse kan de bruge meget plads i /data01-partitionen . Efterhånden som /data01 nærmer sig kapaciteten, bliver Avamar til sidst ubrugelig.

Cause

Eksisterende politikker for log-rotation tager ikke højde for indholdet af /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp eller /usr/local/avamar/var/client/.

Resolution

Løsning:
Arbejd med support for at fjerne overflødige logfiler og få systemet tilbage i produktion.

Opløsning:
Opgrader til Avamar v7.3, hvor denne adfærd er blevet løst.
