Avamar 그리드는 SUSE Enterprise Linux를 운영 체제로 실행합니다. 

DNS 캐싱은 기본적으로 SUSE에서 활성화되어 있지 않습니다.

서비스 예: nscd, bind, unbind, dnsmasque및 기타 DNS 캐싱 메커니즘은 DNS 캐싱을 위해 수동으로 활성화해야 합니다.

이 /etc/hosts Avamar의 파일은 스토리지 노드(내부 및 외부 IP 주소)에 대한 항목을 포함하며 캐싱 옵션으로 사용될 수 있습니다. 또한 캐싱 전용으로 구성된 DNS 서버도 이 용도로 사용됩니다.

/etc/nsswitch.conf는 다음을 확인하도록 구성됩니다. /etc/hosts 에 정의된 DNS 서버에 연결하기 전에 /etc/resolv.conf 파일.

Avamar 그리드에서 nsswitch.conf 파일은 아래와 같이 구성해야 합니다. 

hosts: files dns
 

Avamar 킥스타트 이미지에는 nscd rpm 따라서 이러한 DNS 캐싱 데몬/서비스 중 하나를 수동으로 구성하는 옵션은 지원되지 않습니다.
