Symptoms



- Online update-taak: mislukt elke keer dat u deze probeert uit te voeren. 
- De klant kan normaal gesproken de URL openen: vupdate.emc.com van de webbrowser normaal
- Kon fouten zoals de onderstaande in het taaklogboek zien: 
Dit geeft aan dat er een time-out voor de verbinding is opgetreden bij het maken van verbinding met de url vupdate.emc.com vanuit de SRM Frontend.

Caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: vupdate.emc.com: Connection Timeout
- When trying to ping or telnet the URL vupdate.emc.com from the Frontend the same Error cause was displayed. 

Cause

De klant gebruikt een proxyserver. Hij heeft overlegd met het engineeringteam en zij hebben bevestigd dat de online update niet kan worden uitgevoerd (toegang tot de URL: vupdate.emc.com ) wanneer er een proxyserver wordt gebruikt op de server van de klant.

Resolution

De online updatetaak kan niet worden uitgevoerd wanneer een proxyserver is geïmplementeerd in het klantnetwerk.
