SourceOne Email Management: Journal Application randomly becomes unresponsive
Summary: Journal Application randomly becomes unresponsive due to the MAPIUninitialize() function called too soon.
Symptoms
SourceOne ExJBJournal.exe application fails randomly.
In the Event Viewer, the following can be seen:

Cause
The issue occurs while calling MAPIUninitialize() function. The function is called too soon.
Resolution
In order to avoid the ExJBJournal.exe application crash while calling MAPIUninitialize(), a code change was made to have a delay of 5 seconds before calling it.
A software defect cited under SDR 58719 causes this issue.
This issue is resolved in updates or Service Pack versions of SourceOne Email Management 7.2 SP4 hotfix 3 and later.
