How to install SupportAssist for Home PCs
- Go to the SupportAssist for Home PCs page and then click Download SupportAssist.
- Once the installer downloads, a notification window appears asking if you want to install this application. Choose Install from this window.
- After installation is complete, restart your computer for all changes to take effect.
How to uninstall SupportAssist for Home PCs
The instructions below apply to Microsoft Windows 11 and Windows 10
To uninstall SupportAssist from your computer:
- Select Start, then Settings, then Apps, then Installed Apps.
- In the programs list, select Dell SupportAssist from the list of applications to uninstall it.
- Click the Uninstall button on top.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, then restart your computer to finish the uninstallation process.
How to troubleshoot common issues with SupportAssist for Home PCs?
- Reboot the system and wait 5 minutes to confirm all associated services have started.
