Symptoms

新しいストレージボリュームがVPLEXに提示されましたが、ストレージがVPLEXにプロビジョニングされた後に「array re-discover」コマンドが実行されませんでした。

バックエンド アレイからプロビジョニングされたVPLEX上のストレージ ボリュームからエクステントを作成しているときに、次の警告が表示されます。

VPlexcli:/clusters/cluster-1>extent create -d xxxxx_7475_xxxxx01_02_data_xx
WARNING: ストレージボリュームのシン機能を特定できませんでした:xxxxxx_7475_xxxxx01_02_data_xx。このストレージボリュームでサポートされている新しいエクステントは、シン機能を失う可能性があります。

Cause

この警告は、ストレージ ボリューム/LUNをVPLEXに提示した後に「array re-discover」コマンドが実行されなかった場合に表示されます。


Resolution

「アレイの再検出」を実行する前に、ステータスとストレージボリュームをチェックして、すべてが正常かどうかを確認します

この警告を回避するには、新しいLUNをVPLEXにプロビジョニングした直後に必ず「アレイの再検出」を実行します。  

1.VPLEXにストレージをプロビジョニングした後、次のコマンドを実行します。

VPlexcli:/>array re-discover --array <アレイ名>-<アレイのシリアル番号> --cluster cluster-x

アレイ名とシリアル番号がわからない場合は、「ll /clusters/*/storage-element/storage-arrays」コマンドを使用して、VPLEXに接続されているアレイを確認できます

サンプル出力:
