Instructions
There are circumstances that you want or must connect to the MXG610 using a console port in the MX7000 chassis.
The MX610 has a physical serial and console connection at the front off the bladed switch, which is a micro-USB connection, but it also has an internal console connection to the MX7000 chassis.
Follow the steps below to connect to the internal console or serial connection for the MXG610 using the MX7000 chassis.

- Login into the MX7000 using the CLI over SSH (Using root)
- To be able to determine the FC switch you must connect to, you can run the command:
getmodinfo

- They are normally "switch-5" and "switch-6" as in respectively C1 and C2. (This command will also give you the Service Tag if you need it.)

Once you know the Switch that you want to connect to you can log in with the following command:
connect -m switch-x(x is for 5 for c1, 6 for c2).
