Windows 11, version 22H2 September Moment
Microsoft Copilot in Windows will gradually rollout starting September 26, 2023. Microsoft uses its Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) technology for the update distribution. As such, not all devices receive Microsoft Copilot in Windows immediately upon rollout.
- Consumers who want to get it ASAP can turn on the toggle to get the latest updates on Settings > Windows Update.

- Commercial devices receiving the September Moment through Windows Server Update Services (WSUS
) or Windows Update for Business (WuFB
) has Microsoft Copilot in Windows disabled by default. To prioritize getting Microsoft Copilot in Windows, the administrator should configure client policies AllowTemporaryEnterpriseFeatureControl
and AllowOptionalContent
.
Windows 11, version 23H2 (build 22631)
- Microsoft Copilot in Windows is enabled by default in Windows 11, version 23H2.
- Commercial customers can disable Microsoft Copilot in Windows using Group Policy or Modern Device Management (MDM
).
Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3754 (KB5032278)
- KB5032278 enables Microsoft Copilot on Windows 10 as preview release.
