Symptoms

DB2 restore fails.

The command ran:

db2 restore db <DB> load /usr/lib/libnsrdb2.so options @/nsr/apps/config/<db2>.cfg taken at <timestamp>

Error generated:

SQL2539W  The specified name of the backup image to restore is the same as the
name of the target database.  Restoring to an existing database that is the
same as the backup image database will cause the current database to be
overwritten by the backup version.
Do you want to continue ? (y/n) y
SQL5099N  The value "/db2/<DB>/log_dir/" indicated by the database
configuration parameter "LOGPATH" is not valid, reason code "9".
SQLSTATE=08004

Cause

The environment is not supported. SuSE Linux 15 SP6 is not supported on NMDA 19.10.

Resolution

Update NetWorker client and NMDA to version 19.11 (or later versions), which supports SuSE Linux 15 SP6.

NetWorker Module for Databases and Applications version 19.10 reaches its End-of-Life of January 31, 2027.
