Symptoms

Unisphere voor PowerMax versies 9.1.x en 9.2.x
Unisphere wordt geïnstalleerd op een standalone Linux-host.

ERROR in smas.log:

Crypto.getComputerName: Unable to determine hostname; using default.

Cause

Unisphere voor PowerMax installeren en uitvoeren als SUDO-gebruiker en niet als ROOT-gebruiker.
Dit is een probleem met de gebruikersrechten van het besturingssysteem en het installatieprogramma. De hostnaam is nodig voor het eenmalige wachtwoord (OTP)-token om de initiële installatiegebruiker (ISU) te maken.

Resolution

Verwijder het eerder geïnstalleerde pakket en verwijder de SMAS-map. Meld u aan als ROOT en de installatie is geslaagd.
