Symptoms

Il backup dei log di NetWorker Module for Microsoft (NMM) SQL Server ha esito negativo.
Ciò si verifica quando le seguenti condizioni sono vere:

  • La preferenza di backup dell'AlwaysOn Availability Group (AAG) di SQL Server è impostata su "secondary".
  • Un database SQL è stato recentemente ripristinato e aggiunto all'AAG

I sintomi includono:

  • Il primo backup Logsonly del backup del database ripristinato viene promosso al livello completo e viene completato correttamente
  • Il secondo backup Logsonly ha esito negativo con il seguente errore: 
    Log backup for database "aogdbcopy" on a secondary replica failed because a synchronization point could not be established on the primary database. 
Either locks could not be acquired on the primary database or the database is not operating as part of the availability replica. 
Check the database status in the SQL Server error log of the server instance that is hosting the current primary replica. 
If the primary database is participating in the availability group, retry the operation.

 

Cause

La root cause di questo problema è che il database è stato recentemente ripristinato e aggiunto all'AAG, ma non è stato avviato un ciclo di backup completo sul nodo primario dell'AAG.

 

Resolution

Per risolvere il problema:

  • Aprire SQL Server Management Studio e modificare le proprietà del gruppo di disponibilità
  • Impostare la preferenza di backup AAG su primario
  • Eseguire un backup completo a livello di NetWorker per il database ripristinato
  • Esecuzione di un backup Logsonly a livello di NetWorker per il database ripristinato
  • Impostare la preferenza di backup AAG su secondario
  • Eseguire nuovamente un backup Logsonly a livello di NetWorker
