Symptoms

During Cyber Recovery, after the sandbox is created, the vProxy is unable to register to the vault NetWorker server.
Attempts to register fail with error:
"Unable to register NSR VMware proxy 'vProxy_hostname': vProxy in unstable state, method not allowed. Received an HTTP code: 405, libCURL message: "", url: "https://vProxy_hostname:9090/api/v1/VproxyEngines/RestEngine/Registration" "
NetWorker server has multiple NetWorker interfaces.

vrapid-engine.log shows communication from multiple addresses belonging to the NetWorker server.

Cause

NetWorker server has multiple network interfaces.

Routing to the vProxy subnet is possible from multiple interfaces.
When the NetWorker server brings up the network interfaces, it sometimes uses the incorrect interface to speak with the vProxy. Then, when the interface on the vProxy subnet is up it starts talking from that interface. This situation causes communication from two different addresses on the NetWorker Server to the vProxy, where only one address is allowed.

Resolution

Metrics can be set on the Network interfaces so that the vProxy subnet interface is preferred.
