Dell Unity 支援 NFSv3 至 NFSv4.1 [Network File System （NFS）]。NFS 可以基於每個 NAS 伺服器啟用，這僅啟用 NFSv3 協定。啟用 NFSv3 後，系統管理員可以選擇啟用其他選項，例如 vVols、NFSv4 和安全 NFS。之後，在建立 NFS 檔案系統和共用時，也可以在共用層級設定預設主機存取，並定義特定主機的例外。
在 UnityOS 4.4 及更舊版本中，必須先啟用 NFSv3，才能啟用 NFSv4。UnityOS 4.5 增加了獨立啟用 NFSv3 或 NFSv4 的能力。這對於僅使用 NFSv4 並希望禁用 NFSv3 協定的客戶非常有用。vVols 不支援 NFSv4。
