Symptoms



EMC ItemPoint for Exchange GLR ha avuto esito negativo con l'errore "Backup browse result is empty" visualizzato nella GUI di amministrazione di Avamar. Il avmapi.log è presente nella cartella \VAR di Avamar e segnala l'errore:    
 

Errore durante l'inizializzazione delle utilità MAPI. Versione richiesta di MAPI/CDO (6.5.8152 o successiva) non -Trovata: impossibile continuare. 
Codice errore 0x80070002: Il sistema non riesce a trovare il file specificato (codice: 0x80070002) - Terminazione anomala. 


Quando si utilizza EMC ItemPoint for Exchange GLR, MAPI\CDO non deve essere installato sul client di destinazione che esegue EMC ItemPoint. 


Il componente MAPI/CDO e l'applicazione MS Outlook non possono coesistere sul client che esegue EMC ItemPoint for Exchange. Disinstallare il componente MAPI/CDO se installato e utilizzare EMC ItemPoint for Exchange.

Cause

Può succedere per i seguenti motivi:   
  • Il plug-in Avamar Exchange VSS non è stato installato correttamente.
  • MAPI/CDO non veniva disinstallato prima dell'installazione dell'applicazione Avamar EMC ItemPoint for Exchange.



Resolution

Attenersi alla seguente procedura:   
  1. Se installato, disinstallare EMC ItemPoint for Exchange.
  2. Disinstallare il plug-in Exchange VSS.
  3. Non è necessario riavviare il sistema a meno che il client Exchange non esegua Avamar 7.3.x. Le installazioni di Avamar 7.3.x richiedono un riavvio tra la disinstallazione e la reinstallazione del plug-in Exchange VSS.  
  4. Se è installato, disinstallare MAPI/CDO.
  5. Reinstallare il plug-in Avamar Exchange VSS e selezionare EMC ItemPoint come opzione GLR.
  6. Completare la configurazione del client Exchange.
