Isilon: Node firmware patch uninstall runs out of space in /var on a node and does not fail

Symptoms
Node firmware may show these messages while uninstalling the patch in the /var/log/messages.
The patch uninstall will sit in uninstalling and not complete.
The patch to be uninstalled will never complete and continue to uninstall.
isi_upgrade_agent_d: Failed to unpack patch file /var/patch/catalog/<hash value>
The patch uninstall will sit in uninstalling and not complete.

Cause
One issue that may arise is, there is not enough space under /var and thus it will continually try. Once the capacity is lowered the uninstall completes.
Resolution
Check the following directories for any messages on all nodes.
/tmp/isi_pkg_outcmderr
/tmp/isi_pkg_outcmdck1
You see something like this below if the issue is present. Conduct troubleshooting on the capacity of /var for that node. Reduce the space in /var to allow to patch the to be removed.
