Question
What is a Cisco QSFP to SFP or SFP+ Adapter (QSA) Module?
Facts
Cisco QSA module on Nexus high-density 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP switch platforms.
Answer
The Cisco QSA Module (Figure 1 and Figure 2) converts a 40G QSFP port into an SFP or SFP+ port offering 10 Gigabit Ethernet
and 1 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable (QSFP) only platforms.
With this adapter, customers have the flexibility to use any SFP+ or SFP module or cable to connect to a lower-speed port on the
other end of the network instead of using a QSFP breackout cable (40G to 4x10G channels).
QSA PID and list of switch models supporting the Cisco QSA Module.
