Cause
BIST (Built-In Self Test) ist Teil des POST (Power On Self Test). BIST ist im Grunde ein diagnostischer Test zur Erkennung von Hardwarefehlern. Die verschiedenen Switches, die Teil der MDS-Plattform sind, unterstützen eine ganze Reihe von Diagnosetests, einschließlich BIST.
Wenn ein Chip beschädigt wird, schlägt BIST fehl. Dies ist ein Problem mit einem Hardwarefehler auf einem der F16-ASICs im Port-Blade-Modul.
Im obigen Fall schlägt der BIST für einen der ASIC fehl, der für die Ports (9-16) verantwortlich ist.
Resolution
Das Modul muss ausgetauscht werden, da es sich um einen Hardware-ASIC-Fehler handelt.
