Cause
BIST (Built-In Self Test) on osa POST (Power On Self Test) -itsetestiä. BIST on diagnostiikkatesti, jonka tarkoituksena on havaita laitteistoviat. MDS-alustaan kuuluvat kytkimet tukevat useita diagnostiikkatestejä, mukaan lukien BIST.
Kun siru vioittuu, seurauksena BIST epäonnistuu. Tämä johtuu laitteistoviasta yhdessä F16 ASICs inside Port Blade -moduulissa.
Yllä olevassa tapauksessa BIST epäonnistuu yhdessä porteista (9–16) vastaavista ASIC-sovittimista.
Resolution
Moduuli on vaihdettava, koska se aiheuttaa laitteiston ASIC-vian.
