Symptoms

  • Il sistema genera il seguente avviso:
    EVT-ENVIRONMENT-00061: QAT device has failed.
  • L'avviso può essere visualizzato insieme ad altri avvisi di sistema, ad esempio:
    • EVT-SPACE-00001: Core dump capability will be disabled if space not cleared in /ddvar.
    • Errori relativi alla memoria o ai DIMM
  • Output di esempio da alerts show current:

Cause

La scheda QAT non riesce a essere inizializzata a causa dell'allocazione di memoria (malloc) errori. Questi errori sono in genere attivati da:

  • Attività core dump
  • Completo /ddvar .
  • Memoria difettosa o danneggiata (DIMM)

Nonostante l'avviso, l'hardware QAT non è difettoso.

Resolution

Soluzione alternativa

  1. Analizzare e risolvere eventuali problemi sottostanti al sistema:

    • Libera spazio in /ddvar
    • Risolvere l'attività core dump
    • Sostituire o risolvere i problemi relativi ai DIMM difettosi

  2. Disabilitare il file system:

    # filesys disable

  3. Riavviare il sistema:

    # system reboot

  4. Dopo il riavvio, verificare lo stato della scheda QAT:

    # enclosure show all 1
    • DD6900/DD9400: La scheda QAT si trova nello slot 4
    • DD9900: Le schede QAT si trovano negli slot 2 e 7
    • Lo stato dovrebbe essere visualizzato come up, come segue:
