PowerStore Alerts: Network ICMP and MTU Size issues

Symptoms

When Dell PowerStore encounters a problem, an error alert is generated to help identify the issue. This article explains the different possible causes and the relevant solutions for these error alerts. Solution
Check cabling and VLAN configuration within the nodes and switches.

Solution
Check the port MTU sizes of switches and ensure that they correspond to the network MTU. The required MTU value appears in the alert details.

Check cabling, VLAN, and MTU settings within cluster nodes and switches to ensure switch port MTU sizes match the network MTU. Find the required MTU value in the alert details.

Alert code 0x01807802

If hosts are directly connected to the PowerStore I/O ports, this alert may reappear multiple times. See the following KB for more details: PowerStore: Direct Attached Hosts are Not Supported for iSCSI and NVMe TCP Over 4-Port Card Bond0 Ports. This alert can be ignored since there is no switch between the hosts and the cluster, but it cannot be disabled.
