Connectrix MDS: Unexpected system time after switch restart

Symptoms

After a switch reload or ISSU/D, unexpected system time may be encountered. This issue only happens if there are no NTP servers configured on the device.

Cause

Known Affected NX-OS releases:
8.4(2c), 8.4(2a), 8.4(1a), 8.4(1), 8.3(1a), 8.2(1), and 8.1(1)

Resolution

Once the system clock is set using the EXEC level clock set command, wait for at least 30 minutes before reloading the switch or performing ISSU/D.

If the NTP feature is disabled, enable it first using the command feature ntp.

This issue is address in NX-OS version 8.4(2) and 8.4(2.93)S0.
