Symptoms

The QUERY VOLUME command does not display snapshots if a linked target device is requested.      

If COMPACT_QUERY(YES) parameter is specified in GLOBAL statement, the QUERY VOLUME command incorrectly displays snapshots.                                                  

Cause

This is due to a software issue.

Resolution

Permanent Fix:
  • For Mainframe Enablers 8.5, PTF SN85065 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support
  • For Mainframe Enablers 8.4, PTF SN84091 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support
