Symptoms
Gli strumenti di conformità del firmware come OpenManage Enterprise (OpenManage Enterprise) o l'utilità Dell System Update (DSU) potrebbero continuare a non riuscire a rendere conforme un PowerEdge R650 a causa di ripetuti errori nel tentativo di applicare l'aggiornamento "2U non-expander storage backplane firmware 7.10". I registri di debug DSU possono contenere il seguente errore:
"Unable to complete the firmware update operation because the specified firmware image is for a component that is not in the target system inventory or the component is disabled for performing the update."
Cause
Ciò si verifica se OME o DSU caricano Enterprise Catalog versione 24.08.03 o precedenti o ESXi Catalog for Enterprise Servers 2024.06 e precedenti.

Resolution
Questo problema è stato risolto con Enterprise Catalog 2024.08.12 e versioni successive e con ESXi Catalog for Enterprise Servers 2024.10 e versioni successive.
Se si desidera utilizzare un catalogo precedente con OME Update Manager Plugin (UMP) o Dell Repository Manager (DRM), eliminare manualmente il file "Firmware_KW60H_WN64_7.10_A00_07.EXE" esistente dal repository. Scaricare il file DUP del backplane e utilizzare il pulsante Import di UMP o DRM per importare manualmente il file DUP nel repository che non conterrà più R650 come sistema supportato.
