Symptoms

OpenManage Enterprise (OpenManage Enterprise)やDell System Update (DSU)ユーティリティーなどのファームウェア コンプライアンス ツールが、「2U非拡張型ストレージ バックプレーン ファームウェア7.10」アップデートを適用しようとして繰り返し失敗するため、PowerEdge R650をコンプライアンスに移行できない場合があります。DSUデバッグ ログに次のエラーが含まれる場合があります。

"Unable to complete the firmware update operation because the specified firmware image is for a component that is not in the target system inventory or the component is disabled for performing the update."

Cause

これは、OMEまたはDSUがエンタープライズ カタログ バージョン24.08.03以前、またはエンタープライズ サーバー2024.06以前のESXiカタログをロードしている場合に発生します

このファームウェアは、特定のバックプレーンにのみ適用されます。2Uシャーシ ベースのサーバー モデルでのみサポートされています。R650はサポートされていない1Uシャーシです。

Resolution

この問題は、エンタープライズ カタログ2024.08.12以降およびエンタープライズ サーバー向けESXiカタログ2024.10以降で修正されています

古いカタログをOME Update Manager Plugin (UMP)またはDell Repository Manager (DRM)とともに使用する必要がある場合は、リポジトリーから既存のファイル「Firmware_KW60H_WN64_7.10_A00_07.EXE」を手動で削除します。バックプレーンのDUPファイルをダウンロードし 、UMPまたはDRMのインポートボタンを使用して、DUPファイルをリポジトリに手動でインポートします。リポジトリーには、サポート対象システムとしてR650が含まれなくなります。
