Symptoms
Upgraded NMSAP and forgot to copy the hdbbackint from /usr/sbin to /usr/sap/EWD/SYS/global/hdb/opt directory.
Unable to backup SAP HANA database
SAP HANA backup fails with the following error:
* 2: General error: Backup error: Backint exited with exit code 2 instead of 0. STDERR: No additional Information was received SQLSTATE: HY000Hdbsql exited with error status 2
Cause

nsradmin -s server_name -p nsrexecd -C "NSR peer information"
The version of
hdbbackint binary in /usr/sap/EWD/SYS/global/hdb/opt is different from the one in /usr/sbin.
Resolution
Two options:
1. Copy hdbbackint binary from /usr/sbin to /usr/sap/EWD/SYS/global/hdb/opt with correct owner and permissions.
2. Symbolically link hdbbackint to /usr/sbin/hdbbackintln -s /usr/sbin/hdbbackint /usr/sap/EWD/SYS/global/hdb/opt/hdbbackint
